An update // August’s alright

So apparently August has already arrived. Again the weeks are flying by and we are already over half way through 2017.

So what is happening this month?

A weekend away. I am spending a weekend with friends which means a whole weekend away from my boys, but I am really looking forward to it. It’s two of my friends since school and the three of us bonded when we had lots of lessons together in years 8 and 9. Now that we are all grown up we don’t always get much time together but it is always fantastic when we do.

More painting! After feeling chuffed with the results of our efforts in painting the kitchen, next to be tackled is the living room. I want to make it a bit cosier and hopefully get the room ready for another sofa (anyone else get that ‘we have more than one guest which means I am now sat on the floor’ situation?).

Framing. We have stacks of prints to frame and get on the walls. We need to find a site online and just suck up the cost of custom frames cos I need to get these beaut prints up on our walls! Any recomendations?

Time with my dad. Every year my dad and I visit an agricultural show together (I grew up on a farm so it’s in our blood). It’s our little bit of bonding time and I always look forward to it. Even more since Wilf joined our crew last year! This year it looks like we are visiting Okehampton show for the first time, as long as the weather is on our side anyway!

Holiday prep/planning. We have just booked our week in Cornwall during September. Four nights in Porthleven followed by two in Polzeath. We have lots we want to do but if you have any must see beaches or anything then please comment below!

I would love to hear your plans for the month ahead!
